Samarpitha and its special mission     Supporting Women and Children     Other Activities

Samarpitha, is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), which was formed on 4th April 2013, by a young specially abled entrepreneur, Mr. N. Pandu Ranga Rao, Mrs. Jyothi P. Rao. (Managing Trustee) and Mrs. Sunanda N. Rao, with the special mission of providing basic infrastructural facilities to specially abled persons for bringing them into the main stream of the society.

The basic infrastructural needs for the specially abled are,

  1. Education,
  2. Training,
  3. Employment,
  4. Mobility.

Education is very important especially for specially abled persons. Without education, people around a specially abled person, finds it very difficult to manage, in our society. So, we do provide scholarships under a special scheme named as "Learn, Earn and Return".

Getting trained is also very important, as it helps individuals to get job. In our society, special persons will not be absorbed for jobs, that easily, as experienced persons in the factory environment will be under an impression that, special employee will need special benefits, and also can do less work, than the normal employee. We provide job oriented training to specially abled persons. We have our own software development firm ICan Technologies, Mysore. We provide training to diploma completed, graduation completed specially abled persons, in the software development and website development field which will enable the specially abled to be exposed to new challenges in their professional life. For any other field, we direct them to suitable training centers.

Employment is another key factor for a specially abled to be a self independent, self confident person. His level of respect, in the society will become high, as soon as he gets some good job. We support this cause, by giving employment chances to disabled persons in our ICan Technologies, Mysore. It will help them, to compete with the normal candidates, whenever they wish to go out of ICan Technologies, Mysore.

Mobility is the main concern for persons with disability. They look out for faster and better accessories when they go out for studies, training and ultimately to a suitable job. Daily commutation is a major problem for disabled persons. Due to this reason, the cost of living seems to be very high for disabled persons than their normal counterpart. We, the members of Samarpitha, would like to collect donations, purchase wheelchairs or whatever mode of transport the specially abled persons would need to have, and distribute among them.
